Morgan was born on July 2, 1989 (Alex Morgan age: 30) to Pamela and Michael Morgan. She was raised by her parents in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles. Morgan was multisport throughout her childhood, however she only discovered soccer at 14. After high school, Morgan was a part of Cypress Elite's club team. They were the winners of the Coast Soccer League Under-16 championship and came in third in their under-19 bracket.
