Susan Sarandon Bio

It was after the 1968 Democratic convention and there was a casting request for a film with several roles for the kind of young people who had disrupted the convention. Two recent graduates from Catholic University in Washington DC were invited to auditions in New York for Joe (1970). Chris Sarandon was not selected even though he prior studies in acting. His wife Susan received a big role.That performance was of Susan Compton who is the daughter of an ad executive Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick). Dad Bill, Susan's drug dealer boyfriend, dies in the film. Joe (Peter Boyle) is a bigot, who works on an assembly line, comes across Joe (Sarandon). Janet is involved with Dr. Frank n Furter, is the role of Janet in the film The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). After more than 15 years of having started her career, Sarandon at last actively campaigned for a role that was a hit, Annie in Bull Durham (1988), flying at her own expense from Rome from Rome to Los Angeles. "It was an incredible script... It was able to do rid of a lot of misconceptions and challenged American definitions of success" she said. "I had a few hours there with Kevin Costner, sex some men in the studio and then hopped back on a plane. Tim Robbins, her Bull Durham (1988) as a supporting actor was her first lover. He had two sons in 1992. This placed Sarandon in a awkward spot. She would leave her home to perform characters that were extremely difficult.
