Adam Carolla
was born May 27, 1964. He is an American comedian, actor, podcaster, and radio
host. He hosts The Adam Carolla Show the talk show, which is released via
podcasts that established the record as the "most downloaded podcast"
according to Guinness World Records in 2011.Carolla co-hosted the syndicated
radio talk-in program Loveline along with Drew Pinsky from 1995 to 2005. He
also hosted the show's television version on MTV from 1996 to 2000. He was the
co-host and co-creator for the television show The Man Show (1999-2004) and was
the co-creator, as well as a regular performer on the television program Crank
Yankers (2002-2007, 2019-present). The Adam Carolla Project was an NBC show
that focused on home improvement. It aired on TLC from 2005 to 2011 and was
also aired on Speed TV from 2011. Carolla has also appeared on network reality
television shows Dancing with the Stars, as well as The Celebrity Apprentice.
His book , Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks was featured on The New York Times
Best Seller list in 2010, and his second book, Not Taco Bell Material, also
reached New York Times bestseller status. Carolla has made a number of
appearances on political talk shows as a guest commentator. He was host of a
weekly show on Bill O'Reilly's The O'Reilly Factor called "Rollin' with
Carolla". Adam Carolla was the son of Kris (nee McCall), and Jim Carolla.
His birthplace is stated as Los Angeles County in California according to
certain sources, but others list it as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up
in the Los Angeles San Fernando Valley and his parents divorced as he was a
child. Carolla did not have an middle name. His parents did not give him one.
He used his middle name "Lakers" on his driver's license application
for fun. The application was processed without prior notice. The
step-grandfather of his maternal grandmother, Laszlo Gorog, was a screenwriter.
